There's a new one called the Medison Celebrity Laptop. They claim to be the cheapest laptop in the world, at a price of $150. But it's only available through an online reseller. It features a wide-screen 14-inch WXGA display and weighs 5 pounds. Look for category of computers.
Your best bet would be to check out the used computer stores in your area. Though dont' be surprised if it's not the fastest & has win98 on it. Refurbished ones also are pretty cheap, google refurbished laptops. You could also keep an eye on craigslist for a used one also.
the best you can get is a used laptop ( not a new one) and probably made about 3-4 years ago. i suggest you, that it's better to save your money until you have about US$450-500, you can have a new laptop, although it's a standard one (like celeron procesor with 256 ram and 40gb hardisk)
Save $300 more then you will buy.
