Some of the keys on my laptops keyboard are not working. What do I do?
Answers:
It needs to be cleaned. If you have no experience, it might be safer to take it in to a techie.
If you feel you are up to it, disassemble your laptop, and find the screws holding the keyboard together. Take the circuit board off and peel off the plastic membranes. DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING. Watch for small rubber pieces, you will need to replace them as they are. Set the rubber parts aside and clean the membrane(s), using a damp cloth. Then it's just a matter of putting it back in reverse order. Good luck.
You have two choices - take it to a shop and have them replace the keyboard (a.k.a. the expensive choice) OR buy a USB keyboard and connect it to your laptop's USB port. (a.k.a. the cheap choice)
well, for a quick fix to use it right away, plug in aq regular desktop keyboard to ur laptop. to fix it for sure then take it to a cyber works or a computer repair store and find out what the problem is. for a do it urself job, then u can tkae out the keboard by taking the plastic edges off of the keyboard and unplug the keboard that is attached by a serial cable. buy a new keyboard from a computer store and attach the new keyboard.
