Dell 65w ac adpater?

i think my adapter is busted, when i plug it into the outlet, the green light doesnt go on, is there anything i can do, or should do? or will i just have to buy a new adapter?

Answers:
Unfortunately, you're probably right.

Classic troubleshooting says you should first double-check by either plugging something else in that particular a/c outlet, or try to plug into another outlet. If you plug a lamp into the same outlet and it comes on, then we eliminate that as a possible problem.

Check the cable itself end-to-end...see if anything seems abnormal about it, especially where the conductors lead into and out of the power pack.

If you can't get it to work, then the 'best' approach is just to purchase a new cable.

Don't tell anyone I told you, but when you find out from Dell what the cost of the new cable will be, run a Google search for, "Dell 65w ac adapter". You'll find that the price range that comes back will vary wildly. You may even want to get a "refurbished" one at a saving of about 75%.
New one, girl - plenty available on line - Google your model number.
