What does an ethernet cards look like and where on your laptop does it go? Help please, i need it for school.?

If your laptop was made in the last 6 years it should have an ethernet port on it. It looks just like a phone port except it is a little bigger.
The ethernet port is a little bigger than a regular phone jack. a regular run of the mill phone jack has 6 pins, and a ethernet port has 8 pins.
If all else fails look at the manual which came with your laptop.
