HP Pavilion dv2000 HDD problem.. HELP!?
Then after 7 months (now) some problems started popping out like, it started going really slow even if i didn't install any software, the web cam started to have some problems but still works, ect., ect. Yesterday I was chatting on Windows Live Messenger when my laptop just froze and a blue screen appeared saying: Dumping physical memory to. I didn't have time to read it all. So the laptop restarted and just when it was about to boot windows XP it said "No IDE Drivers found". I tried everything and I mean everything! I tried installing XP and No HDD found. I got that same message with Vista installation. So now i'm writing from Ubuntu (not installed.. startup CD) and I really need help! My Laptop is
HP Pavilion dv2125TU
Intel Centrino
80GB HD (lost)
please tell me if more info is needed

Answers:
If your computer is only seven months old take or send in for repair under warranty. You did not mention what security your using. You may have a virus or Trojan etc. Run a full system scan. You can also try a system restore to a time when every thing was working correctly. If you allow e-mail it would help with getting assistance. You also did not say how much ram/memory your system has. You may need to allot more memory to the program your using.

the hp laptops have something like a HDD checker in the bios to see if you're HDD is damaged or not
