Why Does My Computer Shut Down?
when i open the CD thing it shuts down
when i plug in my ipod to the USB it shuts down
what is wrong with this d*amn thing? it's almost like it's possessed. it shut down like 40 times while writting this lol i just feel like throwing it against the wall and selling the parts.

Laptops seem always to give the most trouble.
But often it is the users fault because you don't use them properly
here first is a very important tip 1, if the fan is under neath dont use them on you lap as you may block the fan intake and it will over heat.
The best way if you are going to use the Laptop as a desk top computer and leave it on for a long time is to buy a piece of 6 ply wood cut to size of your laptop then attach two small pieces 1/2 inch wide by 1/2 thick by leingh of the board , secure at each end they can be stuck or use very fine
nales or screws.
The idear is to let your laptop sit on the two pieces of wood, so that air can get under the base you also can stick a small rubber none slip on each pice of wood and a larger piece on under tray .
This will stop your computer slideing.
2, If you travel with your computer use a proper carrying bag that is padded .
No getting back to your trouble On the surface it looks like two faults 1, some laptops have a thermel cut out it just neans that if it gets to hot it will turn off, I got one in for repair a Chinese Laptop and it keep cutting off due to this problin.
2 , The second trouble is battery conections you need to remove battery .
1a, check age of battery if three years old you may need to replace it will depend on make as I have had to replace some Chinse maks in two and a half years.
2A check contacts of battery make shaw they are clean use a cotton bud with Methylated Spirits,First make shaw al power is disconed and befor reconting battery that the points are dry.
3A Check 240 Volt or if Use 110 Volt plug ,were it fits into Computer if loose this could be trouble.
Summery A, Bad Battery? B, bad Mains with bad Battery?C, Faulty Batty Conction? D,Screen drivers?If Captop is over 6 years old Buy a Dell they have often cheep deals buy on net cheeper.

There's probably a virus or incorrect drivers on it. Try ani-virus software or contact your system manufacturer.
That's bizarre, but all three of your complaints involve physical movement. It's possible you have a broken wire or cracked circuit board.
Two possibilities, cuz of virus or power supply problem...
Your motherboard is bad.
i had the exact same problem with mine about a year ago, there was a tiny crack in the power cable near where it plugs into the laptop, it is a common thing with laptops due to moving them about all of the time. get it checked out quickly.
