Ram problem?
But when i check using system info in systems tools it says 2 gigs o.O?
what gives?
Answers:
If you don't want to open it up and look, take a look at the POST screen at bootup.
It checks the RAM operation first and will show you the total installed.
If you see a manufacturer's logo screen when you boot the computer, hit the ESC key as soon as it shows up and you should then see the POST [power on self test] screen.
You can fake things in Windows if you know enough about the registry, but you can't lie to the BIOS.
This is a well known problem called "You got ripped off"!
Is this a new computer?
If so, call the manufacturer.
update bios.it can be old..think of it...
Let's assume you've actually got the 2 gig installed, then it may me the on board video card is set up to use a gig for video. Not likely, but possible.
Most likely is either:
1: ripped off.
2: needs bios update.
If the post doesn't show 2gig, then contact the seller, especially if you have a reciept showing the 2gig.
Good luck.
