If the key with the @ sign has two other symbols as well, you need to access the @ by holding down the 'Alt Gr' key and press the key with the @ on.

The "at" sign is on upper case 2.

If it's not where it should be, try above the 2. You need to reset the keyboard to English UK. Go to control panel-region & language options-select English UK from drop down menu & click apply.
If that doesn't do it, I'm stumped!
If you are in the UK (and this is RunQA.com UK) then the @ symbol is on the 3rd row up, two keys to the left of the Enter key. Hold down shift and press this key. If you have a US keyboard the @ symbol is above the number 2. Hold down shift and press 2. If this does not work and you get a " quotation mark instead then your keyboard setting is wrong (e.g. a UK keyboard set to US). You can correct this in Control Panel.
