Is Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 ok?
how does it compare to dedicated graphics cards with the same amount of memory? can i upgrade to another graphics card in the future, like nvidia or ati on my nothebook
Answers:
Notebooks usually don't have the ability to upgrade the GPU, if you're not gaming the 950 is... meh... ok I guess.
Integrated graphics chips like that don't even begin to compare to dedicated graphics cards, I'm afraid. If you don't want to do anything (aaaannyyything) graphically intensive with your machine, it should be okay, but if you want to play games on it sometime in the future, check out some dedicated cards.
yes that is good for internet surfing and anything like that but if you are a gamer u need a graphics card $125+
Be careful some graphics cards rob from the computers RAM to satisfy the claims of the RAM for the card. If you are not going to be gaming or graphics programs, then yes you will be fine. Vista is real graphics intensive though, so if you are going to run that you may want a graphics card.
well it does not compare to a dedicated graphics card. if ur not going to be gaming then i guess it will be fine. u cannot upgrade the graphics card in laptops.
I have a MacBook which uses that same graphics processor, I personally don't have any problems with it except when i try to play games, i also have 2GB of RAM. So as long as your not a gamer its fine.
