How do you turn your TV into a PC monitor?

Answers:
This is only worthwhile if you have an HDTV. A standard definition TV can generally only be connected to a PC if you have a video card with an appropriate output, but even if you do this it will look terrible. A standard definition TV has a very low resolution and cannot properly display PC content.

On the other hand, most HDTVs that I know of have one or more inputs that accept a standard VGA connection, or DVI, or HDMI. Your PC will almost certainly have a VGA output, and may also have a DVI or HDMI output, depending on the graphics card.

Once you've attached your HDTV to your PC, it's just a matter of selecting the appropriate input source on the TV, and making sure that your graphics card is configured to output properly, in a resolution that is supported by your HDTV. Google for this info. Refer to your TV's manual to find its maximum supported resolution.
get a 16 pin female to female standard monitor cable and a male to male audio cable (usually pink)
You have to get cable adapters. Go check out radioshack or best buy
