Can any one tell me why my computer keeps freezing and what can I do to solve the problem?
Answers:
First boot into safe mode and run a virus scan. Once finished boot to windows and clean your system. Use CCLEANER to clean the rubbish out and click the issue button to clean the registry. Get ADVANCED WINDOWCARE and run it. Then get a spyware program like ADAWARE or SPYBOT to remove spyware. All these tools are free on the net.
first check that its not you thats freezing .when this is ok take it to a computer shop
Try a re-boot or if not get a virus checker on it or re-install from your system disk you got with the computer.
If still not throw it in the skip
sounds like your pc needs cleaning of temp files and a defrag
Can you phone the manufacturer with this one. I have same problem and phoned where I bought it from. They told me to phone Toshiba! sorry can't help you further.
Take it out of the fridge
Running to many programmes at the same time will cause this,Next time it freezes right click the bottom of the screen and click on task manager.
this is a generic case, however this migh be caused by many things such as:
1. newly installed software.try uninstall it.
2. RAM is unable to fulfill the system requirements.think of upgrade.
3. a hardware device is malfunctioning, such as a mouse or keyboard.check them.
4. a virus or malware.update your definitions and run a full system scan.

Try defraging it. Both registry and disk defrags and clanups. Registry cleanup as well.
Try defragging it
My computer freezes a lot also and it is a Windows ME. I have been told that this particular model is noted for that. It is 7 years old and I am anxious to replace it with a Mac, when it finally crashes!
