Can multiple monitors be connected to a computer to expand the gaming experience?

I have microsoft flight simulator "X" and heard that three monitors will add periferal realism to the cockpit. I have a Dell XPS media center computer. If multiple monitors are possible, what additional hardware/software do I need?

Hiya Nadda Geek,

Sorry man. That type of graphics interface will not correctly span across the dual monitors like the desktop does. It will blank out one of the displays and use only the other. This goes for most decent games. Even if you could do it then the aspect ratio would be so off that everything would appear stretched;really wide and stumpy looking.

GOOD LUCK!
With your computer, you might have to install a second video card to be able to do what you want to. There are some video cards that have two outputs for video.

Once you put the card in and Windows recognizes it, you should be able to manage your display settings with the general display settings in Windows.
