LCD Monitor doesn't display...?
The 'power' light was on, but the monitor didn't have any sort of display up, and the LED didn't go from blue to orange (like it does when the monitor is on but the computer is off), and it didn't have the 'Searching for Input...' screen that comes up if you turn it on without the computer running.
Also, the monitor won't power on and off with a touch of the button. Instead I have to hold the button down for a second or two to get the LED to come on (but the monitor doesn't appear to power up, or to make the tinny sound that it normall does when the LCD powers on).
Anyway, I got a new monitor, but am wondering if I should keep my old one or throw it away? If it's a fixable problem, please let me know the cause!

im sorry but im having the same problem so far. but with one difference. if i dont haver it plugged to power then after a few minutes connect every thing again i get a picture for about 3 to 5 minues or less. then it shuts offbut then i turn off the on off button and turns on and then off again by itself. what seems to me is that it is power supply and im looking to see if i can get a new one put in. well keep in touch of out come.
At the very least put it up for sale on Ebay.
People are always looking for old LCDs to scrap for parts.
