I have a Windows XP Gateway computer. After years of usage (not that many) the screen displays windows grainy, the color green sometimes shakes constantly and other colors become shades of itself in lines. Yellow remains yellow but has heavy orange lines and so its the same with other colors, its really a mess, hard to describe. This is really weird, can someone tell me what's going on?
Answers:
Either one of three things has happened.
1. Your Monitor is going bad... (Try Another)
2. Your Monitor card in your computer is going bad...(If not the other 2, then replace this)
3. The plug where your monitor is connected to your computer is coming half way out. Screw it all the way in, and see if it fixes it.
Troubleshooting order: 3, 1, then 2.

Try unplugging and replugging in the monitor... if no luck, contact Gateway. Hopefully you have a warranty.
