The monitor port on the back of my computer is damaged, I was wondering if there is an alternative way to?

connect my monitor to it?

I have an old computer with the same type of port, is there any way I can switch them?

The computer also has a parallel port and a serial port, is there any adapter or something for the monitor to go into those?

This is what it should look like, but the computer part of mine is damaged.

your monitor connection will be a standard compressed 15 way female d type, PC mounted

if you are handy with a soldering iron you could attempt a repair but your best bet is a new graphics card
the one from your old pc may be useable but only if you havge the drivers for it and dont play a huge amount of games
well you can get a new graphic card and that would fix the problem because you woulod have the new port
You could install a pci video card if the on board VGA connector is damaged. How does one damage the connector any ways? NO you can not get a adapter to connect video to the other ports. Here's your sign!!
Just go to any computer store and get a cheap graphics card, for like 20-30 bucks, install it, and there you go. All though I'm not sure if someone who asks if there's an adapter to plug your monitor into a serial and parallel port should be installing anything :)
