Computer Eye Strain - what can I do?
I also have 2 Apple Laptop computers that I use occasionally, and in general I don't have trouble when I use the laptops.
I've done about everything I can think of. I went to the eye doctor - they checked me over good, they gave me eye drops and all, I tried new glasses, I tried special computer glasses, actually the monitor is new and I still have tons of trouble, maybe I bought the wrong one. I;ve played with the brightness and the refresh rates, and all that. I've done about everything. I could get a new monitor but I don't know which one I should buy. I bought a anti-radiation - anti glare screen and my eyes still hurt horribly just after short use.
what can I do?
Answers:
You can try this. Can't gaurantee it will work for you.
On Windows XP -
Right click anywhere on the desktop.
Click Properties.
Click the settings tab.
Click the advanced button.
Click the monitor tab.
Select a higher number for the refresh rate.
well test you eyes on another pc for a while, if there is no problem with the other suck it up and by another monitor, like play a computer game. Maybe its the way your computer is set up, maybee its to close or is at a weird angle
hope it helped
I know how you feel. Remember to look away from the screen every 15 to 20 minutes and focus on something on the other side of the room or out the window, even get up and walk a way from the computer for a few minutes. It really helps.
