Can you connect a PS3 to a computer monitor?
Answers:
Hiya Andre,
Yes, this can be done easily with a VGA box which is made just for this type of purpose. Here are some links to help you hook up and get it running quick. As far as the sound goes, you can attach to the monitor if it has speakers, otherwise you will need a small pair of Walkman / PC type speakers. You can also run the audio through a home stereo and some portables.
1) Magic VGA Box, seems to have the best reviews by users and is priced a bit higher then the others:

2. XCM 1080p VGA box, compatible with the Nintendo line of consoles. Looks neat.

3. The YPbPR to RGBHV may be the one for you. It has a switch for 2 consoles:

Basically, you plug in the console, then the monitor and fire everything up. You can also switch to a computer if you want.
GOOD LUCK!!
you would get a better picture by using a hdmi ->dvi-d cable. however you will need to get the audio a different way. it is possible to use both component and hdmi cables at the same time. so put the audio cables into a stereo or speaker system and youll be good to go. just make sure that your monitor has hdcp or else it will not work.
