Are computer screens racist?

Why are computer screens always black when switched off or in standby. How come you never see a white computer screen? Ain't that basically a bit racist?

Answers:
If it wasn't for the sun everything would be black.

Cinema screens are white.
Uhmm...No, I wouldn't think so. It's not exactly the same color as black skin. I think it's the color of a screen in the off position. If it were white all the time, or yellow, or, heck, even purple, it wouldn't be able to project the colors correctly...
Everybody and everything is racist today to these loony left wing s.hitstabbers
oh noooo what have u gone and started now lol
Cant really see where you are coming from, black is basically just a colour like red blue or green e.t.c.Its just the way things are electrically when switched off,i should not worry about it.
idiot
HAH! Good point. That IS pretty racist.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh
this is absolute nonsense, I hate it when idiots 'see' racism where there isn't any, like the word blackboard being rascist so you have to say chalkboard.
Grow up!
If it were white you'd have to have it lit up by a light which would cost money
No, it's not. I note you haven't accused your TV of being racist.

The whole reason the screen is black when turned off is because there none of the electronic components are active, none of the pixels are being illuminated with colour, no LED's are activated, ect ect..

It's a bit like saying that night time is racist, or that your light switch is racist for plunging your room into darkness when switched off, and only illuminating the room when switched on.
R u real?
Or do you just lead a SAD and LONELY life.
If you are that bothered about it.

Get some white emulsion paint and go round painting all computer screens you see white.

This will tip the balance for white computer screen supremacy.
id say yes give us white screens or yellow
