Looking for a graphics card that will run my 1680 x 1050 resolution monitor well?
Answers:
The 2600XT is currently not the recommended card in it's price range. The Nvidia 8600GT offers better performance, requires a less powerful power supply and has better drivers and software support than the 2600XT.
I own a 22" LCD running @ 1680x1050 and I have 2 computers connected to this monitor (through a KVM switch) - my gaming computer that has a Nvidia 8800GTS KO (overclocked) and my server has an older Nvidia Ti4200. I do not game on my server and only use it to browse or run development tools, but it can definitely support that resolution.
