My monitor makes clicking poping nioses any ideas?

Acouple months back the screen was reduced to about 6' square when I booted up

If it is a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitor, chances are that the connection on the back of the tube is dirty or loose. The popping noises you hear may be the electricity arcing (jumping across connections). Best bet is to take it into a repair shop and have the diagnose it.
