Can you hook up one computer to two different monitors and will you be able to put different pages on them?
Answers:
Depends on your OS. Windows has been able to do this since W98SE. There used to be a few video cards with two ports on them, but I haven't seen those in years. Current cards have one port for one monitor. So you'll need two video cards.
As for different pages: Sure. You can open two instances of your browser with two different pages on one monitor, so you can sure do it on two.
(When you add that second video card, be sure to calculate the total power your PS will have to supply. Most computers come with power supplies that are only marginally capable of handling what's in the box to start with. If you add more power-hungry electronics, you'll have to buy a bigger PS.)
yes depending on ur videocard ..
Yes, just buy a video card with 2 vga outputs, I have it set up this way and I can work on something on one monitor, and something on another.
just get any card with vga, and dvi video outs.
If you have the correct drivers and video cards, it should be pretty simple.
If you go to the control panel, under display, you can check your current hardware to make sure you have what you need.
The display console can be set for multiple monitors, be it 2, or even more.
Yes, you can, with a video card that has two monitor outputs; you'll most likely need to buy a new video card with two VGA outputs, or both a VGA and a DVI output (you can get an adapter for the DVI output, so that you can connect a VGA monitor to it).
Once you install it, connect the second display, and start up the computer. Right click on your WinXP desktop, select "Properties," go to the "Settings" tab. Here, you can select the monitor shown as "1" -- make sure it's set to "Make this my primary monitor." Then click on the monitor marked "2", and at the bottom of the tab, select "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor." (You can also set each monitor's resolution and other settings.)
Now, you'll have one big desktop across both monitors, for which you can make all kinds of settings, and you can have different things on each monitor. (If you don't select "Extend my desktop...", the second monitor will just show the same thing as the main monitor.)
