It's barely one month old. Yesterday when I closed a game it turned red, then returned to normal, then again when I closed Word. It just happened a couple of times yesterday, and today again, but since this screens don't have much guarantee I'm wondering if I should return it to the store. It's defective or its normal for flats to do that? It's my first flat screen. The first weeks this did not happened.

check video cable to be inserted properly in the monitor and in your computer
The video cable could be lose. Maybe an adjustment is out of WHACK. Yes, it could be DEFECTIVE, check the guarantee.
A good LCD flat screen monitor should last 20 years or more.
