I have a 20" monitor for my cpu and a third of it is being used..the rest is blank(windows vista)?

right click on desktop... click graphic options... click full panel or fit panel to display
It is possible that your video card does not support that large of a monitor. Check your Screen Resolution Settings under Display in your control panel.
