How do you type on a tablet pc? Does a on screen keybord pop up and allow you to touch it?
Answers:
You can use the keyboard or the on-screen keyboard, but an external keyboard is generally faster. With Vista, you get a handwriting recognition service when you use a tablet PC or attach a tablet to an existing PC.
I have the Lenovo x41 tablet PC, with WinXP Tablet PC edition. It's like a regular laptop, with a keyboard, but you can also use an onscreen keyboard (tapping it with your pen) or use the system's built in handwriting recognition interface, which works in all programs/contexts.
Mine is not a touchscreen; you can't use your finger, just the pen.
And, by the way, the recognition is very impressive... no training, don't have to try all the hard to write neatly!
