Answers:
Spray some canned perfume spray (ANY like impulse eg.. The cheaper the better actually) onto the Screen. The Alcohol in the perfume will make the ink liquid. Then wipe immediately with a wipe.
You may need to do this a few times, but it will come off eventually.
Hairspray may work; try on a corner.
Try polish, leave for a few seconds then wipe off with duster.
Screen wipes and maybe a gun

I won't even ask how your 3 year old gained access to permanent markers or what else he might have marked in the house.
If the baby wipes aren't getting it all off, you can try a paper towel very lightly moistened with alcohol BUT many LCD screens (this includes televisions) have a thin membrane over them that can be permanently damaged by marking pens, alcohol, etc. So your screen may truly be permanently marked.
bleach works
looks like youll be buying a new computer screen. if the screen is glass, try rubbing it out with gasoline on a paper towel, itll take it right off!! just dont like a match up on ur screen, or there goes your house.
VERY carefully use a TINY spot of white spirit or paint thinner on a cloth... CAREFULLY
Good luck
Hairspray - then clean the screen afterwards with anti-static screen cleaner.
Don't use bleach or any other cleaner - they are likely to set the pen even more - unfortunately the baby wipes may have done that too.
From personal experience.ethanol (rubbing alcohol). It won't hurt the screen no matter what kind and it takes permanent marker off like a dream. I work in a lab and we use permanent marker on EVERYTHING!
Hiya, When I got permanent marker on m tv screen I went over it with a black whiteboard marker, left it for 2 minutes and then rubbed it off with a damp tissue.
When you have done that get a dry tissue and see how the screen has turned out, if there is still black smudges wipe the monitor with a baby wipe again.
It should come off, but you may need to keep repeating this a few times.
Good Luck, Hope it comes off.
Oh and about your son, try and keep him occupied and away from permanent markers !! Perhaps give him a colouring book and a few crayola crayons ?
this actually does work. If you have whiteboard markers color over the permanent marker with them and then just wipe it away and the permanent marker underneath comes off as well
it is not a question - it is the story of your life
If it's a glass screen get a cotton bud dab into household bleech and dab the permanent ink leave for five mins damp clothe wipe it off i did this with my old one last week dont go mad on the bleech you dont want it going all over the place and it works it takes it right off.
