I have just replaced my monitor with an 19" lcd but no matter what I try I cant make the image fit the screen

May be a problem with your video card or maybe you can try downloading new video drivers. Have you tried adjusting the settings in control panel?
the new monitor might have an auto-adjust for it's video boundaries. check the internal menus for the monitor...read the manual.
Did you run the installation disc that came with the monitor?
Widescreen 19" requires 1440 x 900 resolution at 60Hz. Hope your video card is up to it.

fix ur setting with ur LCD.. u dont have 2 do anything with ur computer.. push the buttons from ur LCD or if u have an "auto" button, hit that one!
