Can I connect my Xbox (not 360) to my LCD monitor? No there isnt any composite inputs?
Answers:
No, atleast not in a way that is desirable for gaming. Your LCD monitor may have one or both of two possible input ports. One is the VGA ports and the other is the DVI port.
The VGA port is the conventional port for both LCD and CRT monitors. It is not compatible because the xbox only transmits video through an analog composite based signal. The VGA signal is also analog, but the way it constructs the image is completely different.
The DVI port is also incompatible with composite vidoe because it accepts a digital signal, not analog.
The undesirable way to do it is to have a composite video to VGA converter, but alot of image quality would be lost in the transition, and they average about $100.00.
Nope!
Sorry!
