How do I change the resolution on my monitor?

you might need to install the drivers for the monitors, this happens when you buy a non plug and play kinda monitor, nowadays most monitors are plug and play though, if this doesnt resolve the problem, it could also be that the video card drivers are missing so try installing them
go to settings, advanced, adapter, list all modes .. pick the native resolution and if its lcd its 60hz ... if its tube about 75 ...
Did you properly install your monitor, with the correct drivers?
Well, if you had Windows Vista, go to the control panel and click "Personalization". Then go to "Display Settings" and you can change using the bar pointer and move it as you wish. I'f you don't have Vista, I can't help you. Sorry.
Does your monitor have a autoselect button? If so click it and it will automatically adjust the screen resolution.
If not go to the start button...go under control panel. Click appearance and themes and then click change screen resolution.
If you are ever have problems...try using the help and support on your comp. It has worked wonders for me. It may also explain how to change the resolution.
Good Luck!
