Basically, things almost have a ghostly spill on the screen. Can you see it?

Here too. It's happening everywhere lately:(

How can I fix this?

My monitor is an LG widescreen 19" monitor.

I'm running at 1440 x 900

Answers:
This is an usual behavior when you have dual monitors when you put them side by side to expand your view and desktop area. This is usually controlled with the video card software to either allow or just move windows to one screen instead of splitting.

Since you don't mention dual monitors you should try calibrating the monitor with the buttons it has. Check the manual or play with the buttons to check what you can do. Usually they are easy to calibrate.

Hope this helps.
