Is high contrast bad for you eyes?

is high contrast bad for you eyes
I have been geting sore eyes so have lowered the contrast on my monitors to zero
Should I lower the contrast as well

Answers:
Yes, due to the glare. Modern monitors need only a minimal contrast esp the lcd types. It will be much easier on your eyes to set the contrast level low.
i would get a monitor sheild it helps loads for the headackes and eye strains you get. it's nothing more than a peice of plastic with some tint their real cheap and you will be so thankfull you got one, but if you want to try something else turn your brightness down unless thats what you ment you had allready turned down to zero.
the luminous level of your screen should be pleasent for your eyes. adjust the brightness and cotrast accordingly
