Monitor in power-save mode?

It only happens whenever I attempt to play games on my computer, and I'm not really sure why.

About 5 minutes into the game it will get stuck in power-save mode.

I've already tried going to control panel>power options> and putting "never" for the hibernation, turn off monitor, system stand by, and turn off hard-disks.

Does anyone know what to do?

Answers:
it could be your graphics card...it may not be able to support the game you are playing. ALso, make sure there's nothing overheating in your machine.
