Ive noticed that the LCD screen on my Creative ZEN has gone faded , and there are lines running through it ?

Probably it's been sat on.
could have bene droped, if it has warrenty try seeing if you can get it fixed, but dont has that u think you droped it
ask ZEN about it. Im guessing your ZEN is out of warranty but they should be at least able to tell you.
My guess though is that Creative used the cheaper, orignal variety of LCD, which doesnt have a TFT (thin film transistor) layer to control pixels better. This would explain the Lines.
As for the fading the Rear-bulb that trasmits lights through the LCD layer has probably reached the end of its lifespan.
All I can say is that the screen definitely needs a replacement and its best to have a consult with Creative before you make any rash moves. Ive known them to be fairly courteous with customer support in my experiences with my MuVo2..which I sadly dropped far too many times while drunk. I dont trust myself with Disk drive music players anymore as a result.
