What features does a monitor need in order to opt as a t.v as well?

I am looking for a monitor for my computer but want to also use it as a t.v once and a while.

Generally most monitors are ready to be used as Televsion sets as well, all you need to buy is a separate TV card to be installed into your PC.
all you need is a TV card for your computer. they vary in quality and price, shop around and read a few reviews to get a good one, install it in a free PCI slot on your computer's motherboard (the long white ones, can't miss them) then once that is installed and you have run the program, unhook your TV aerial (or get one of those portable things) and plug it into the TV card and you have TV on your monitor!
