My laptop screen resolution is set at 800x600 but it doesn't fill the whole screen. What should I do?

I tried changing the screen resolution to 1600x1200 but my icons look extremely tiny. I just want it back to normal.

May be U're having problem woth your graphic card... U can try 1280x800 resolution... If still can't work, check with the company be it Dell, Sony.
right click on the mouse. Click properties,and then change the tab at the top to settings. Than there is a little lever type thing that says screen area less or more.Scroll the thing until it says 1024 by 768 pixels. That should bring it to a full screen. if that doesnt work try restarting the computer that always work.
