I have a 6 month old PC, with flat pannel monitor, and vista home premium . I am having the following prob..?

On a few times recently when I open FAVOURITES window and open any programm, the programm opens fine. but the window for the favourites display, about 4inches by 3 inches turns black and stays on the screen, on top of the prog I have opened. If i close the prog and go back to desktop,the black square is still there. I have to close PC or send it to sleep to get rid of it. When I start up again all is back to normal, Please note this dose not happen every time I use FAVOURITES, Anyone any idea what is causing this little prob. Thanks

This is a software problem, not a monitor problem. See if your computer manufacturer offers software support.
right could be lack of RAM to make that happen.
or it could be that newer drivers are needed for your graphic card (look on the graphic card makers website)
make sure that the cables connecting the screne to the computer and inplace and tight
try rebooting from master you may have got an error in sytem 32.
corrupt favs files or menu, prolly have to reinstall windows and lose the favs
back the folder up (and my docs), run a quick install (not format) and check
then paste in favs
shoudl give you where the problems come
