New computer... fonts on some sites are HUGE?
Also, my taskbar is still very big and some of the smaller icons are really pixely. My screen resolution doesn't get any higher :[
Help would be greatly appreciated!

CHANGING FONTS:
Internet Explorer
The font sizes on some pages can be increased (or decreased). You can use the View option on the toolbar.
Some sites in the world appear to be designed for people with very good vision as they use typefaces that are almost unreadable, particularly if your monitor is set for a higher resolution.
IE has a couple of ways to help with that problem. The first works on some, but not all web sites. If you go to "View" on the top menu and find "Text Size" you will see a list going from "Largest" to "Smallest." You can try changing these settings to get a better view of the page.On some sites, you will need to change some additional settings. Go to Tools, Internet Options and find the Accessibility button on the bottom right.You can click on one or more of the options until you get the page to look the way you want. Usually the one the works is "Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages," but you may have to select "Ignore font styles specified." as well. Then go back to View and set the text size.in addition,there is a section in Internet Options where you can set the font style

Acessibility Wizard
If you prefer the wizard interface to enable features, open the Accessibility Wizard.
To open the Accessibility Wizard, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click Accessibility Wizard.
2.When the wizard starts, click Next to start setting accessibility options.
3.Use the wizard options that apply to features for users with low vision. The following three options are displayed on the Text size options screen:
•Use usual size text for Windows: This option makes no changes to the standard Windows appearance scheme.
•Use large window titles and menus: This option is the same as selecting the High Contrast option in the Accessibility program in Control Panel.
•Use Microsoft Magnifier, and large titles and menus: This option turns on Magnifier.
4.Click Next after you make your selection. On the next screen, the options that are displayed depend on the choices that you selected in the previous screen.
5.Click Next to continue.
Note After you have completed the first part of the Accessibility Wizard and the Set Wizard Options section, completes the process to set the Accessibility Features.
To set wizard options, follow these steps:
1.For users with low vision, click the I am blind or have difficulty seeing things on screen option, and then click Next.
2.Select the scroll bar and window border size that is comfortable, and then click Next.
3.Select the icon size that is comfortable, and then click Next.
4.Select the high-contrast color scheme that is comfortable, and then click Next.
5.Select the size and color of the mouse cursor

Using Large Fonts
* Open the Start menu by clicking on the Start button or by pressing the Windows logo key (located between the Ctrl and Alt keys) - or Ctrl + Esc
* Click on Control Panel or press the letter C on the keyboard.
* Double click on Display or press the D key repeatedly until Display is highlighted and then press Enter. This should bring up the Display properties box.
* Click on the Appearance tab or press Control + Tab until the Appearance tab is at the front.
* Under Font size click on the drop down menu to change it to large or extra large. Alternatively press Alt + F on the keyboard and then use the up and down arrows to select the font size followed by Enter. You may need to press Enter or click OK again to return to Windows.

It is possible to change the font size for the individual elements within Windows such as menu’s, title bars etc.

* Double click on Display or press the D key repeatedly until Display is highlighted and then press Enter.
* Click on the Appearance tab or press Control + Tab until the Appearance tab is at the front.
In order to change the font for individual items, you need to make sure that the Windows and buttons setting is set to Windows Classic Style.
* Click in the Windows and buttons drop down box and choose Windows Classic Style. Alternatively, press Alt + W, press the down arrow until Windows Classic Style is selected and press Enter.
* Click on the advanced button or press Alt + A to display the Advanced appearance page.
Display Properties
As an example we'll change the font style of all the menus through out Windows from 8point MS Sans Serif to 10 point MS Comic Sans. If you do not want to keep these changes, you can just press cancel at the end of the exercise.
* Click on the drop down box below the Item heading, or press Alt + I to jump there.
* Use either the mouse or the up and down arrow keys to navigate through the list of items. Each of these items can be modified individually. Move down the list until Menu is highlighted and then press Enter. Any font changes you now make will only apply to Menu items throughout Windows.
* Click in the Font drop down box or press Alt + F to select it. Use the mouse or the arrow keys to select the font you want to use, IE Comic Sans MS (western).
* Click in the Size box to the right of the font dropdown box or press Alt + E to jump there.
* Use the mouse or the arrow keys to scroll through the different sizes and either click on the size you want, IE size 10, and then click OK, or when the size you want is selected, IE size 10, press Enter. Alternatively, just type in 10 and press Enter.
* Now press Enter or click OK to return to Windows.Now look at a menu to see the changes you have made. If you are still not happy with the font, repeat the above steps until you find a font style and size you are happy with.
Apart from the menus within Windows, many other items can also have their font style modified. Just follow the above instructions, choosing the appropriate item from the item list instead of Menu.

by sites u mean internet right? well, for my computer (windows xp, microsoft internet exploerer) the font gets big if i zoom in...so maybe it's zoomed in? usually u can change it with the magnifying glass in teh bottom right corner of the interent screen
