Printer issues?

My Canon S200SPx is printing funny.

For example a full page of text will be printed with bits of text missing on the top half of the page and the bottom part of the page will be printed normally.

I've used the Head Cleaning tools that are available through the computer by going to the Maintenance part of the printer properties.

Can anyone give me any tips on how this can be amended.

Answers:
try to align the the head of the printer in Maintenance and check the nozzles if all of them are functioning.

are you using a refilled ink or compatibles?
if you used them, maybe your print head was destroyed.
try to remove the ink carriage and replace it. because the print head is there.
Your cartridges are simply tanks. What puts ink to paper, and determines print quality, is the printhead. It's the part that holds the two tanks.

You can remove it, and clean the bottom with isopropyl alcohol or distilled water. This might help unplug it.

It's also possible the part has simply worn out. I believe they are only available to order from Canon, and are quite expensive.
