Printing photos with your computer?

I want to print my own photos, taken with a digital camera. The problem is that I want those photos to be 10X15 cm when printed, and the photos in my computer are huge.
I tried to use the program PAINT to reduce the size, but the result was a mess.
Is there any simple procedure I'm not aware of?

THANKS

You can reduce the size of a photo using photoshop. Paint sucks. Also, are these photos for slide projectors? There is software available to modify your photos for that type of output. Search the net.
Hi dear,

Please try to use adobe photoshop any version from 7.0 till cs3 , its easy you can change the picture size with diffrent options and you can do nice modifications to it.

Good luck
Try this instead of using paint (works in XP or Vista)
right click on the picture you want to print
select Preview
The picture will pop up in a window. On the bottom there will be a small printer icon. Click on that and it will open a Photo Printing Wizard.
You can select any of the standard sizes that most photo centers make pics in such as 8x10, 5x7 (I think by doing the math in my head real quick that this is the closest to 10x15cm), 3x5, etc. You can also tell it how many pictures you want on each page.

I highly recommend that you get photo paper. It makes a huge difference in the quality. I have printed out pictures and given them to relatives and they asked me where I got my pictures developed!!

Good luck
