Why not have a Do Not Fax Registery?

The fax machine ink is liguid gold and I do not want to go to Hawaii or invest in penny stocks from china. It seems that even when you turn it on and walk away somebody is faxing crap.

Answers:
might i also suggest sticking your fax number in the do not call registry? these other fax machines are calling yours, after all.

just a thought :)
It is a pain in the ***. You can block numbers through the phone company, track them I bet the majority of your faxes are probably coming from a series of 10-20 numbers. They will be printed on the top of the fax print out. It is usually a handful of marketing companies annoying you with unsolicited faxes.

Many phone companies will not charge you for blocking a number, so I suggest you take those numbers call the phone company and see what can be done about them.

A do not fax registry would be nice.
