I've a Dell printer and buy compatible ink cartridges from databazaar.com. They have low prices and free shipping too.
insted of trying to find.argus do ink refill kits all colours and black.
The Dell 944 was not manufactured for Epson, it was manufactured for Dell by Lexmark.
In order to allow you to fit Lexmark cartridges in your Dell printer, you would have to cut away part of your cartridge holder assembly, the cartridges have different protrusions in different areas. Even if you were to butcher your printer and install the cartridges, it is not guaranteed that your Dell printer will recognize the Lexmark cartridges.
You will not be able to find Dell cartridges in the local office supplies shop, but the bigger places have their own brand of compatible and remanufactured cartridges. You might find a cartridge suitable for use in your 944. You won't have to guess if it is usable, the packaging will state "compatible with" or "suitable for use in" your machine. If you have a reputable refiller nearby, they can fill your Dells, or maybe have compatibles for sale.

Actually the Dell 944 was made by lexmark. There are as of now now current compatible cartridges for that particular printer.
You can however have the cartridge refilled.
Unfortunately Dell has a tight strangely hold on their market and will pay top dollar for their own empty cartridges which limits the compatible market greatly.
