My HP all-in-one printer died after only 7 years, is that the usual life span?
Answers:
The Average life-span is about 3-4 years for a machine. Odds are you're using an HP printer that uses the 45 or 15 black cartridge and the 78 color. If this is the case, you want to make sure that that machine is good and dead, have a tech friend look at it, make sure there is no recourse for the machine first. Any newer machine will use substantially smaller cartridges. For example, the 45 has 42 ml of ink in it, and averages 29.99. The 27 cartridge that they put out now has about 10 ml of ink in it for a cost of 17.99-19.99. So for a smaller cartridge you're spending more money. So Long story short, your machine is probably dead, make sure of it before buying a new one. You'll save a lot of money in the long run.
