Did anyone here something about printers giving off some type of carbons that's making people ill?
Answers:
I think you heard of toner cartridges for laserjet printers.
a new study shows that some of the dust particles MAY be able to get into peoples lungs.
Nothing proven so far.
No, That is impossible, Incorrect.
Maybe printers that print carbon nano tubes... but not Ink printers.
Its a myth, Everything is made up of carbon!
Why would we be sick of something our own body is made entirely up of.
Toner dust consists of microfine particles that are emitted by most laser printers.
Supposedly many office environments have unacceptably high levels of these particulates.
Our lungs have cilia which "sweep" out foreign matter, but these particles are apparently too fine to be ejected from the body, so they build up.
All I know about them, is that the toner in a laser cartridge can cause allergies, breathing difficulties, headaches and illness.
the only printers that do that are solvent printers that are commonly used by large format sign shops. And you can't buy them unless you have a small room dedicated only to the printer, and that room must have ventilation that sucks air out and brings good air in.
But as far as carbon, not possible. Unburned carbon gas is dangerous (carbon monoxide). And fully burned carbon and oxygen is slightly dangerous to humans (carbon dioxide), but its used in fire extinguishers to smother fire and plants and trees can absorb it to convert it to oxygen for the atomsphere.
You've been a little mislead with whatever news you've heard.
yes it was on the news last night , the dust from from the carbon is the problem
