Slow printing on Windows XP Pro. I have tried swapping printers and it is something to do with the system.?

I tried re-installing a fresh driver and it's still slow. I hit print in ANY program and it takes a good 30 seconds to print. All the other computers here start printing right away. The system is a fairly fast one but just prints slow.

Any ideas on what to try next?

Answers:
Go to your start menu and select printers and Fax's
Select your printer with a right click.
Select Properties
Select the advanced tab
Select spool print and Start printing immediately
Make sure your priority is set to 1
Select print spooled documents first
This should get your printer to print as fast as it can. Note most printers go into standby and have to warm up before they print.
Hello,
see the printing preferences in printer properties. It should be set on Black & white print and fast mode. For further assistance log onto http://solutionsjpr.com sending the detail of printer model.
