Has anyone had experience using the lexmark x2500 all in one?
Answers:
I don't have a Lexmark x2500, but I can tell you that you can do better. The Lexmark inks are generally not as good as the Canon, HP, and Epson inks.
The x2500 printer is a bargain printer and doesn't even come with a black ink cartridge. The optical scanning resolution of the scanner is sub-par (1200x600), although it would only be an issue if you want to scan small items with great detail.
I don't know what you plan on doing with your printer, so making a recommendation isn't exactly straight-forward. If you plan on using the printer for high quality photo printing, then I'd suggest a multi-function photo printer (one that uses 5 or 6 coloured inks instead of 3 for colour printing).
You might also want to consider the price of the cartridges too. If great picture quality isn't an issue, then you should look at the prices for the ink cartridges for all of the printers within your budget. The ink cartridges is where you'll be spending most of your money.
The Canon MP150 is a decent printer (I have it), although the ink cartridges are kind of pricey. (The model which replaced the MP150 is the MP160, which is almost identical to the MP150.)
The low cost compact HP multi-function modals like the F380 are decent and the cartridges aren't expensive, but that's because HP doesn't put much ink in the cartridges.
The Epson CX4400 seems like a decent printer. It uses seperate colour ink cartridges, instead of putting 3 seperate coloured inks into 1 ink cartridge. The problem with the 3 ink colour cartridges is that usually 1 colour within the cartridge will run out before the other two -which means that you'll be buying a new colour ink cartridge prematurely. If you plan on using ink re-fill kits to save money, then don't buy an Epson printer -their cartridges shouldn't be re-filled. Their cartridges are decently priced though.
Unless someone here knows that the Epson CX4400 is a bad printer, I'd go with that. I think it is the lowest priced multi-function printer that uses seperate colour ink cartridges. If you can spend more money, I'd recommend the Canon MP510, which uses seperate colour ink cartridges.
very expensive ink and lasted me only 2 months. Take it back quick! If you dont need colour go laser ink wont dry out and get more pages printed for your money
