Lexmark are cheap printers BUT their ink is expensive!
You should look up printers online, and also check the costs of ink because what good is a cheap printer if it's going to be expensive to maintain? I've learnt that the hard way, I got my first lexmark printer a few months ago and now regret it! I loved my Epson, and wish I'd never changed!
lexmarks are pretty cheap and cost effective but for a little bit more I would go for and HP deskjet
look on www.comet.co.uk
you can compare different printers and they have a sale at the moment
Try a price comparison site that allows you to refine your search, such as this:

With Vista you have a problem, WHY OH WHY did you go VISTA knowing all the driver problems there are with it? Google the question.

I have a Canon iP 3000, it is a couple of years old but you should still find it or maybe the 3300 , it is a very good and versatile printer with a very good range of easily usable programme with it, the main reason I bought it was the separate cartridges that are large and easy to get cheap copies , Before you buy any sort be sure about the in cartridges as some are very very expensive as they hold very little ink even if the look good . My cartridges are 3e 6 models but some new printers use No 8 model these have a chip so are not possible to copy yet, also a lot of HP cartridges are chipped to a certain "sell by date" and even if they are full at this date they will no longer work, Sorry to be so long hope I was of some help.
Cheap printer does not mean cheap to run.
I have an all in one HP photosmartc3180 its very good and it loads at the front ,I got mine from Argos £39/99 but if you shop on line you might be able to get it cheaper, you can also get on line help with HP.cheers Molly
try hp or epson some printers come with wireless built in to them
Epson printers are the best by far. I have an epson c62 fantastic photo print quality and an epson stylus Dx3850 all in one printer. The ink for both these printers are cheap compared to Lexmark and the likes. If you go on e bay you'll find loads of bargains as i did with my all in 1 which was reconditioned yet came in original box with everything only a minute scratch on the surface hardly noticeable. Honestly, I even get my ink from e bay but shop around on there as there are loads selling the ink, take the P&P into consideration, mine was free and I now use them all the time buying in bulk. Try E bay and type in the name of the printer mentioned above you'll not be disappointed
