Can i make my printer print black if i only have color ink?

The HP 1300 series printers are made to be able to print with color ink only, including black print. Just change everything you can to black and white and any images to grayscale.
Theoretically, you can print a black and white document with color by selecting the color vs black/white option in the printer setup page. The big downside is that the colored ink will run out very quickly as all colors are added together. It also will print very slowly.

If you're printing something you typed, change the font to the darkest blue possible. You won't notice a difference.
