I just bought a Windows Vista Home Premium Computer and I am having trouble installing my Lemark Z605 printer?
Answers:
There is unfortunately no guaranty your printer will work with Vista unless it is new and says that it will.
Everyone with old peripherals has this problem. Your best bet, if it's and old printer, is go to Lexmarks web page and see if it has Vista software.
If it is new.. You always want to install the software before you plug in the USB or you will have one hell of a time getting it to work right.
Here is the driver link with Vista downloads.
do you have any specific things that are happening, error messages etc that you can share?
I have vista also, and to install the HP printer I had with my old pc [windows xp home] I popped in the disk, and made sure to let vista know that I was the one installing, that I approved the program, and it was in no time..but you have to make sure your respond positively to each vista holdout.
Just go to the lexmark website and see if they have an updated driver for your printer.
You'll need the 600 series Vista compatible driver available for download directly from Lexmark. It says Z611 but it will work with your Z605.
Get it here.

Enjoy.
Go to Lemark website for new vista driver for your printer. Good luck finding driver if printer is older than 3 years old not owned for 3 years.
