My canon mp370 printer has a black ink problem.?

sounds like your black printhead needs cleaning. a few things you can do:
first things first: make sure you took the seal tape off the new cartridge!
get into the maintenance software and run a deep cleaning cycle. this will usually clear up most bad clogs.
if that doesn't help, pull out your printhead carriage (the thing you put the cartridges in). there should be a lever on one side you can unlock to pull the whole thing out. make sure nothing is stuck in the carriage that shouldn't be there. i once found some paper jammed up in our canon at work :P
lastly, if nothing else does it, get yourself some cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol. take the black cartridge out, and look for the print head cone underneath it. dip a cotton swab in alcohol and gently clean that cone until your swabs start to come up fairly clean. then re-insert the cartridge and try to print again.
if none of these help, i would suggest perhaps returning the new cart, as it could (very unlikely, but possibly) be a cartridge problem.
