Will that affect my printer?
Answers:
It should be fine, but it u don't have color ink, then don't print color ink. This will not hurt the printer, it's just like u have the colors and a black one. The colors ran out faster than the black ones. Think about this and you'll figure out that it won't hurt it.
Depending on the unit. It should be fine though. I am assuming this is an Epson?
No. A lot of printers are constructed this way. It helps save money on color cartridges.
It won't hurt the printer, but it may not work if you don't have all the cartridges installed.
It may hurt you.
Once the color cartridge is out. It highly likely that the nozzles will dry and will block ink from flowing.
And some printers are designed to hurt the user when you try to take out things that gives profit to their Manufacturers. :D
Your printer will not work.
IF you do manage to actually get the printer going it will damage the print head by way of allowing it to dry, warping it (for a thermal printer like Canon, Brother) or damaging the crystals (piezoelectric printer like Epson)
Unless you want to buy a new printer, I would strongly discourage such a practice.
You will also notice that your print quality is very lacking if you do actually get the printer going, this is because all three colours are used in regular printing even monochrome black text.
