What is the USB port doing in the front of my printer?

My Printer:Epson CX6000,I have a USB port with a little sign on top showing two drops or something. What the heck is this for?

Answers:
On page 20 of the manual: http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/cx6k_...
It explains that this is for connecting a digital camera for USB DIRECT-PRINT.

Hope this helps!

It's probably there so you can connect a digital camera to your printer, so that you can print pictures from the digital camera without downloading them to your computer first. That's how it works in my printer, although it's a different brand, obviously.
It's so you can plug in your USB flash drive and print photos directly from that.
The USB port on the front of the Epson CX6000 is for external devices only ie a camera can be plugged in and directly print from the camera to the printer

Here is a link to the CX6000 guide

Hope this helps

Pat
for cameras with pictbridge, all you have to do is connect the camera through that port and print for easy printing with no pc
